5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 6/26/18
Eric Hosmer produces well against righties, making him a great value target in a date with Austin Bibens-Dirkx. Which other cost-effective bats should you look to on Tuesday?

Stephen Piscotty, OF, Oakland Athletics

Price: $2,800

Stephen Piscotty has made great contact against southpaws over the last two seasons, turning in a 37.3% hard-hit rate and 16.4% soft-hit rate. Despite this, he has a low .243 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) over those 169 plate appearances. His first two seasons (236 plate appearances) saw him post a .338 BABIP despite boasting only a 29.9% hard-hit rate against lefties, and so even if the way he's hitting doesn't change, we can expect variance to lead to an uptick in production as we move forward.

It's not like he has been unproductive, either. His work in righty-righty matchups has carried him to a serviceable .321 wOBA this year.

Tonight's matchup puts him in a particularly good spot to turn his contact into production as he takes on Detroit Tigers lefty Blaine Hardy. Hardy is on pace for his third straight season with a SIERA north of 4.45, and over those three years, he has managed a mere 4.71 xFIP against right-handed bats.
