Nolan Arenado, 3B, Colorado Rockies

FanDuel Price: $4,800

Fading a stud like Nolan Arenado when he is at Coors may feel illogical, but his price tag fully accounts for the advantages he will receive from hitting in the best park in baseball for offense.

For starters, Arenado is having a bit of a down year (by his standards) even if it doesn't show up in the stat sheets, because his .339 batting average on balls in play is 38 points above his career average. Arenado's strikeout rate is up to 18.2%, which would be the highest of his career if it holds. Similarly, his fly-ball rate of 35.7% would be the lowest of his career since his rookie year in 2013.

Ultimately, however, this is still nitpicking, and it is not a primary reason to fade a guy. However, they are still factors worth considering, especially when you take into account that Arenado will be facing Seth Lugo on Wednesday. While Seth Lugo isn't a guy that generally scares DFS players off opposing hitters, he probably should. Right-handed batters against Lugo have a 27.6% strikeout rate, 32.9% fly-ball rate, and 25.0% fly-ball rate this season.

If you're skeptical that these impressive numbers are just a product out of pitching out of the pen and that Lugo can't carry this over as a starter, you shouldn't be. His 2.46 SIERA as a starter this year is better than his overall 2.86 SIERA. Arenado's career wRC+ against right-handed pitching is just 107, which pales in comparison to his 143 mark against southpaws. It's not the worst spot, but the price is too steep.
