3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 6/13/18
Gerrit Cole, P, Houston Astros
Gerrit Cole enters Wednesday's start averaging 50.9 FanDuel points per game this season. No other pitcher is averaging within 2.5 points of that clip, and his production has come with both ridiculous consistency and a ton of upside. He has notched fewer than 40 fantasy points in only one of his 13 starts this season, and his 85-FanDuel-point game in early May is the season's best fantasy performance by a pitcher, with no others having cracked 75.
Cole's 2.41 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) and 37.8% strikeout rate are both good for tops among Wednesday's starting pitchers, while also ranking second among all qualifying starters.
The Houston Astros are decently sized favorites on the road in Oakland (-180 moneyline), and the Athletics' 3.24 implied total is Wednesday's lowest to this point. The A's aren't a dreamy matchup, ranking top 10 in wRC+ against righties, but they do strike out at an above-average rate, leaving plenty of room for Cole to continue posting dominant fantasy numbers.
