Adrian Beltre, 3B, Texas Rangers

Price: $2,700

The Texas Rangers are in a strong spot tonight, boasting a 4.94 implied total as they host southpaw Sean Manaea and the Oakland Athletics at hitter-friendly Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Manaea has shown some improvements this year, but his 4.10 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) still isn't a strong mark, and it brings his career SIERA to 4.25 over his first three Major League seasons. He's also allowing the most worrying contact of his career, with his highest hard-hit rate (39.5%) and lowest soft-hit rate (14.0%).

Adrian Beltre, 39, is certainly on the decline, but he's still showing plenty of pop in his bat. His 39.8% hard-hit rate in 2018 is his highest mark since 2010, while his 12.2% soft-hit rate is his lowest clip since 2013. Since the start of the 2017 season, Beltre has a huge .425 wOBA with a .202 ISO against lefties.

That's not a clip we can expect him to produce at moving forward as it comes with an unsustainably high .388 batting average on balls in play (BABIP), but with his huge contact numbers and history of producing against southpaws, he offers big value against Manaea.
