4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/30/18
Ryon Healy hits southpaws well and carries a cheap price tag against lefty Matt Moore tonight. What other budget-friendly hitters should you target on Wednesday?

Matt Joyce, OF, Oakland Athletics

Price: $2,600

Matthew Joyce is another guy who's not producing especially well in 2018, but his platoon splits and matchup tonight leave him offering some interesting fantasy value. His .310 wOBA and .176 ISO against righties certainly aren't anything special, but they are better than his overall marks. They also leave him still averaging a reasonable .334 wOBA and .215 ISO against righties over the last two seasons.

Joyce is also expected to bat leadoff here, meaning he should get plenty of cracks at Tampa Bay righty Nathan Eovaldi.

Eovaldi will be making his first Major League start since 2016, thanks to two separate elbow surgeries. That really spells trouble for a pitcher, and even if he finds his way back to form, that will likely take him a while, considering he has pitched only 10 Minor League rehab innings.

That 2016 campaign also saw him get tagged for a .367 wOBA and 4.55 xFIP on a 36.6% hard-hit rate by left-handed bats. Even a return to pre-surgery form would leave him as a promising matchup for Joyce tonight.
