5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/29/18
Byron Buxton has struggled to start 2018, but he is poised to bounce back against Danny Duffy and the Royals. What other budget-friendly hitters should be on your radar on Tuesday?

Joc Pederson, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers

Price: $2,300

Joc Pederson is our model's top projected point-per-dollar value on Tuesday.

Pederson has produced well against right-handed pitching in 2018 so far, notching a .347 wOBA on a 36.1% hard-hit rate. This comes on the heels of a 2017 season that saw him post a .333 wOBA, .214 isolated slugging (ISO) and 33.3% hard-hit rate against righties, meaning this success is not a fluke.

His matchup today against Philadelphia Phillies righty Jake Arrieta is also a lot better than it might appear on the surface.

Arrieta has a stellar 2.45 ERA through nine starts this year. That is accompanied by a 4.32 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), though, which is on pace to be his worst since 2013. That huge discrepancy means that we are likely to see his ERA fall significantly as the year goes on, and it means that we don't need to be as afraid of rostering hitters against him.
