J.D. Martinez, OF, Boston Red Sox

Price: $5,000

On the other side of that matchup, the Rays will be starting left-hander Blake Snell. Snell has looked good to start the season, but the gap between what he's doing this year compared to his first two Major Leagues seasons means that there is still room for concern.

In 2016 and 2017, he finished with SIERA's of 4.53 and 4.72, respectively. He has a much-improved 3.68 SIERA so far this year, but the contact he's allowing hasn't really changed -- with his 20.9% soft-hit rate and 32.7% hard-hit rate sitting right around his career averages (20.3% and 32.3%).

It doesn't take an especially poor southpaw to make J.D. Martinez an elite fantasy option, either. Over the last two seasons, Martinez's batted-ball profile against lefties has been awe-inspiring as he owns a 54.8% hard-hit rate, 7.5% soft-hit rate and 41.9% fly-ball rate. This has translated to a ridiculous .491 wOBA and .405 isolated slugging (ISO), giving him a massive ceiling tonight.
