While Noah Syndergaard's production has taken a slight step back in 2018, that step is small enough that over an eight-game sample, there's nothing to worry about. Especially because even his "step-back" numbers are excellent and come with some very encouraging peripherals.

He has notched a 3.10 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) on the year, and he has combined it with a 27.6% strikeout rate and 5.1% walk rate. He's forcing the highest soft-hit rate of his career (22.5%), and his 24.8% hard-hit rate is on pace to be his second-lowest mark. He's also making hitters whiff a ton, with his 14.4% swinging-strike rate on pace to be a career-best clip.

Thor brings that into a solid matchup tonight against Toronto. The Blue Jays sit in the middle of the pack (14th) in wRC+ against right-handed pitching, but they are a particularly good matchup for fantasy purposes as they own the seventh-highest strikeout rate (24.4%) against right-handers.

The New York Mets are sizable -168 favorites in this one, and Toronto's 3.30 implied total is the day's lowest.
