Didi Gregorius, SS, New York Yankees

FanDuel Price: $4,400

After being named AL Player of the Month, it's plain to see why Didi Gregorius -- with 10 home runs on the year -- is usually solid choice. That's especially the case when you consider the New York Yankees' robust implied team total (4.94 runs) against Drew Pomeranz and the Boston Red Sox. But rostering the dynamic shortstop may be chasing a bit of fool's gold here.

Over the last two seasons, Pomeranz has performed well against left-handed batters. In 40 innings pitched, he's kept lefties around league-average marks with a 32.7% hard-hit rate and .337 weighted on-base average (wOBA) against. He's also whiffed them at a high rate, recording a 27.1% strikeout rate.

Perhaps a bigger reason not to roster Gregorius is that he's performed even more poorly in this split. Since the start of 2017, he's recorded a .119 isolated power (ISO), .310 wOBA, and 16.6% hard-hit rate in 192 plate appearances versus lefty hurlers.

With low splits and a high price tag, this is a tough matchup to justify rostering Gregorius.
