5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/4/18
Matt Olson is way underpriced in a terrific matchup with Orioles' righty Andrew Cashner. What other budget-friendly bats should you target on Friday?

Matt Olson, 1B, Oakland Athletics

Price: $2,800

Matt Olson has made 267 plate appearances against right-handed pitchers in his young Major League career, notching a huge .400 wOBA and .325 isolated slugging (ISO) in that sample. That production is no fluke either, coming on a 40.9% hard-hit rate, 45.9% fly-ball rate and 14.8% soft-hit rate.

That makes it a bit of a head-scratcher that he is so cheap tonight against Baltimore Orioles righty Andrew Cashner.

In 2018, Cashner hasn't been quite as bad as he was last year, but he has still managed a shaky 4.62 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) over six starts. He's also allowing a huge .383 wOBA while only forcing an 8.7% soft-hit rate and allowing a 55.6% fly-ball rate to left-handed bats, making this a prime spot for Olson to show off his power.
