Eddie Rosario, OF, Minnesota Twins

Price: $2,600

Dylan Bundy looked like he took a bit of a step back in his sophomore season with the Baltimore Orioles in 2017, when his skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) climbed to 4.45 (up from 4.23), his soft-hit rate fell to 17.6% (from 23.6%), his fly-ball rate rose to 47.2% (from 32.2%), and his hard-hit rate rose to a concerning 36.5% (from 28.0%).

He was especially generous to left-handed hitters, allowing a .328 wOBA and 5.49 xFIP on a 14.9% soft-hit rate, 48.4% fly-ball rate, and 39.9% hard-hit rate.

Only two Opening Day starters allowed more hard contact to lefties than Bundy did in 2017.

The Minnesota Twins have a handful of productive left-handed sticks near the top of their lineup, and that group includes Eddie Rosario.

Rosario posted career-highs in both wOBA (.349) and isolated slugging (.218) in 151 games in 2017. He did that with some fairly extreme splits as well, posting outstanding numbers against right-handed hurlers, with a .377 wOBA and .268 isolated slugging on a 34.1% hard-hit rate. His price-tag doesn't reflect that production, and combining it with a great matchup, Rosario offers a ton of value on Thursday.
