3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 9/28/17
Evan Gattis has been hammering the ball lately and has another solid matchup tonight. Who else could make for a strong sleeper play on Thursday for MLB DFS?

Jacob Faria, SP, Tampa Bay Rays

FanDuel Price: $7,600

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

This is a very challenging pitching slate, with a lot of mediocre options taking the bump. Sonny Gray, the only starter priced above $9,000, is likely to be a chalky option at pitcher.

Facing the hard-hitting New York Yankees offense and opposing Gray, Jacob Faria is likely to be ignored.

Why You Should Use Him:

Despite a tough matchup, Faria could be an interesting pivot on the mound. He's thrown 83 2/3 innings in the big leagues this season and has turned that into a 23.8% strikeout rate.

While the Yankees have been very hot lately -- they lead baseball with a team wOBA of .385 over the last two weeks -- they are still prone to striking out, which New York has done 21.8% of the time in 2017.

Check out Faria as a solid pitching option with some strikeout upside.
