Today's top-priced pitching options are fairly underwhelming in general, but Sonny Gray really stands out ahead of the pack.

His 3.95 SIERA isn't particularly exciting, but it's also not a bad mark. However, his 23.1% strikeout rate and 12.0% swinging-strike rate -- which is on track to be a career best -- are encouraging.

On a day with plenty of close matchups, the New York Yankees are the main slate's third-biggest favorites (-188 money line), while the Tampa Bay Rays' 3.63 implied total is the third-lowest.

The Rays are also a particularly good matchup from a fantasy standpoint, striking out at the seventh-highest rate in the majors against right-handed pitchers.
