Jose Martinez has had a productive 2017 campaign, with a .379 wOBA and .216 ISO in 274 plate appearances.

He has been especially good in September, ranking 29th in average exit velocity and 23rd in batted-ball distance among the 344 hitters with at least 10 batted balls over the past 15 days. He has had no trouble turning those contact numbers into production either, with a .407 wOBA during that stretch.

With such a strong combination of contact and production numbers, it's hard to come up with a reason why he should be priced so low tonigh. He's an absolute steal.
