3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 9/11/17
Taking aim at lefty Cole Hamels, Danny Valencia could quietly be in line for a big night. Who else makes for a solid sleeper play on Monday's MLB DFS slate?

Brandon Woodruff, SP, Milwaukee Brewers

FanDuel Price: $6,700

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

The main slate is a condensed one tonight, and that should mean clusters of ownership around the high-priced aces. Carlos Carrasco and Zack Greinke, the two most expensive arms on the day, are sure to be popular plays.

Rookie arm Brandon Woodruff, with only 23 2/3 innings to his name at the big league level, should go ignored.

Why You Should Use Him:

Despite not having the pedigree of those other two studs, Woodruff could be in line for just as big of an evening. Over those initial innings, Woodruff has hurled the ball reasonably well, recording a 4.50 SIERA and a 20.8% strikeout rate.

Perhaps most impressive about the young righty is the inability of hitters to square him up just yet -- he's allowing a very healthy 21.5% soft-contact rate.

Matched up with a Pittsburgh Pirates offense that has really hit the skids, ranking 29th in team wOBA over the last 14 days (.285), Woodruff could be in line for a nice night.
