Fantasy Baseball: 5 Pitchers to Stream for Week 24
Reds rookie Robert Stephenson has hit another gear over his last four starts, making him one of the more tempting two-start options in Week 24.

CC Sabathia, New York Yankees

Starts: September 11th at Tampa Bay Rays, September 16th vs. Baltimore Orioles
ESPN ownership: 37 percent

One of the most unexciting success stories of 2017, veteran southpaw CC Sabathia has remained a credible fantasy asset largely by virtue of the rest of the league getting worse while he has kept pace with his numbers from his bounce-back 2016 campaign.

Indeed, the parallels between Sabathia's 2017 as it stands at the time of this writing and his ratios from last year are remarkably clean -- check out the identical 3.91 ERAs and 4.31 expected fielding independent pitching (xFIP) marks, with his walk rate (8.6% this year) just a tenth of a point higher than last season.

Sabathia might be about as unsexy as it gets as a fantasy add, but this time of year, a solid two-start slate is about all you can hope for to get through the week, and that's what the New York Yankees' lefty has on tap.

Consider Sabathia a good bet to post crooked numbers in the strikeout column against a whiff-happy Rays team that's found a perennial home near the top of the strikeout rate leaderboard. Meanwhile, the Orioles' second-half power surge makes them a queasy streamer target, but with the lowest walk rate in the majors since the break, there's some daylight here for Sabathia to at least minimize the damage.

Conservative owners with weekly locks could certainly look further along in this list for higher-floor options, but daily streamers should at the very least feel confident rolling out Sabathia for the Tampa Bay start.
