While Gio Gonzalez's 4.42 SIERA doesn't come close to being as encouraging as his 2.40 ERA, there's still lots to like about him tonight.

His 4.11 xFIP through four starts in August isn't especially bad, and he has been limiting opposing bats to some weak contact recently, allowing the 17th-lowest average exit velocity and 32nd-lowest average batted-ball distance among the 224 players who have thrown at least 150 pitches in the past three weeks.

The Milwaukee Brewers rank bottom-5 in wRC+ (87) against southpaws, while their 25.6% strikeout rate is the highest in the majors -- something that Gonzalez, with a decent 22.2% strikeout rate on the year, is more than capable of leveraging into a big fantasy day.
