Despite a weak outing in his last start, Chris Sale still has absolutely dominant numbers this year, ranking first among qualifying pitchers in SIERA (2.58), strikeout rate (36.0%), and third in swinging-strike rate (15.2%). He still has 9-plus strikeouts in 11 of his last 13 starts, with double-digit strikeout numbers in eight of those games.

He brings that into a decent matchup tonight -- not that he needs a terrific matchup to put him in play -- taking on the Toronto Blue Jays, who have a middle-of-the-pack 21.3% strikeout rate and 96 wRC+ against southpaws.The Boston Red Sox are the day's biggest favorites (-228 money line) and the Jays' 3.44 implied total is also Tuesday's lowest mark.
