4 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 8/28/17
Charlie Blackmon has huge upside as the Colorado Rockies boast the day's highest implied total for their home matchup with a struggling Jordan Zimmermann. Which other high-priced players are worth their lofty salaries on tonight's main slate?

Corey Kluber, P, Cleveland Indians

Price: $11,200

Nobody else has been striking out batters the way Corey Kluber has in the second half of the season -- leading qualifying pitchers in both strikeout rate (38.1%) and swinging-strike rate (17.3%) in the second half.

He has only posted fewer than 8 strikeouts in one start since June 1st, while he has double-digit punchouts in 12 of his 16 starts in that span.

Kluber doesn't draw the safest matchup in the world today, facing a New York Yankees team that ranks second in wRC+ against right-handed pitching, but the Yanks have also been fanned at an above-average rate (22.1%) by righties.

Combining the Pinstripes' propensity for whiffs with Kluber's absurd swing-and-miss stuff gives the Cleveland Indians' ace elite upside. A likely high strikeout total goes a long way to alleviate concerns about his floor, as well, making him the day's top pitching option.
