Juan Lagares is priced at the minimum against Patrick Corbin, and who doesn't like saving some dough?

The trouble is that Corbin has been mowing guys down lately, with a 3.37 SIERA and 26.7% strikeout rate in the month of August. Thus, the New York Mets only have a 4.02 implied team total.

Corbin has also held his own against righties since the All-Star break -- something he often struggles with -- posting a reasonable 20.4% strikeout rate, 7.3% walk rate, and 26.3% hard-hit rate.

The price is enticing, but Lagares has little stand-alone value when the Mets aren't expected to put up a high score. He has just a career .290 wOBA and .108 isolated power (ISO).
