3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 8/11/17

The Texas Rangers have a high implied team total, but do you really want to roll with Rougned Odor when he's up against Charlie Morton in DFS tonight?

Even though we have all 30 teams going on this evening's slate, unless you're going contrarian, there are surprisingly few noteworthy pitching options. While Rich Hill's ($9,300) limited pitch counts are always a concern -- he's hit the 100 mark just once this year -- he'll be hard to pass up in cash games against the San Diego Padres, who have a mere 3.05 implied team total. Beyond him, Jimmy Nelson ($9,400) and Carlos Carrasco ($8,900) have nice upside for tournaments.

Of course, when there's a lack of pitching, that means a whole slew of bats to choose from! As always, it's important to narrow down your short list of DFS players to target and avoid the suboptimal plays who are overpriced or in tough spots. Let's check out three guys to consider fading on tonight's FanDuel main slate.
