Sonny Gray, SP, New York Yankees

Following a disappointing 2016, Sonny Gray has found his mojo this year, sporting a 3.73 SIERA, 23.4% strikeout rate, and 56.3% ground-ball rate.

But solid as those numbers are, he doesn't quite match up with the fearsome foursome mentioned in the intro, who all have strikeout rates above 26% and are in more potentially lucrative spots. Gray's opponent, the Toronto Blue Jays, are a rather neutral foe, with an active roster striking out 19.7% against right-handed pitching.

Gray is a nice real-life pitcher, but alas, you don't get extra points for ground balls in DFS. Salazar provides a much higher ceiling at just $400 more.
