Eduardo Nunez, 3B, Boston Red Sox

FanDuel Price: $3,700

On Saturday, Eduardo Nunez wasted no time making a good impression with his new team, by blasting two bombs and knocking in the game-winning run in extras against the Kansas City Royals. Still, despite those heroics and the Boston Red Sox getting a 5.13 implied team total, Nunez isn't worth his recent price hike.

Hitting in Fenway will surely give Nunez an offensive boost, but he has a lackluster .124 isolated power (ISO) and 25.5% hard-hit rate, which are particularly poor marks out of the hot corner, which is supposed to be a good source of power. Don't expect another double-homer performance any time soon. He doesn't strikeout much (9.3% rate) and has good speed (19 stolen bases), but his overall upside is fairly limited.

Opposing pitcher Mike Clevinger isn't a walk in the park, either -- even though he gives up his share of walks -- as he's striking out righties at a 28.5% clip with a 3.82 xFIP. That isn't great news for Nunez, who has only mustered .277 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA) this season. His wheels might net him some infield hits not accounted for by xwOBA, but that's not enough to garner much excitement.

In all, considering you can nab the vastly superior Manny Machado at a lower price, you're better off going that route at third base.
