Daily Fantasy Baseball: Batted-Ball Positive Regression Candidates for Week 17
Carlos Gonzalez has been underwhelming all year, but recent batted-ball data says he may be about to turn around his season.

Carlos Beltran, OF, Houston Astros

Since the All-Star break, Carlos Beltran has been crushing everything, even though the game logs don't reflect this. In his last 16 batted-ball events against righties, he has an average exit velocity of 95.1 miles per hour (MPH) to go along with an overall 52.4% hard-hit rate since the break.

Beltran will see some great matchups against pitchers like Vincent Velasquez, Nick Pivetta, and Jordan Zimmermann, righties who allow lots of hard-contact to left-handed batters. Beltran is currently $3,200 on FanDuel and should be batting in the middle of a great Houston Astros lineup. Plug him into your tournament lineups for a high-upside play.
