While Robbie Ray's 3.72 SIERA doesn't come close to touching Kershaw, or this year's other elite pitchers, his strikeout upside does lift him into elite company from a fantasy standpoint.

Coming off a 2016 season that saw him post career-highs in strikeout rate (28.1%) and swinging strike rate (11.6%), he ranks fourth among qualifying pitchers with a 32.1% strikeout rate and seventh with a 13.5% swinging strike rate in 2017.

He draws a reasonable matchup tonight as well, taking on Cincinnati Reds team that ranks below-average with a 94 wRC+ while striking out at a middling 20.8% rate against southpaws, and while Ray doesn't have nearly the floor that Kershaw does, he offers an elite ceiling at a significantly lower price-tag.
