Jerad Eickhoff, SP, Philadelphia Phillies

FanDuel Price: $6,900

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Only two $9,000-plus pitchers are on the slate, with Jon Lester trying to right the ship after a few rough starts, and Lance McCullers home for the Seattle Mariners. Both are likely to see solid ownership rates this evening.

Young Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Jerad Eickhoff, who was winless before recently returning from the disabled list, isn't likely to be a popular play.

Why You Should Use Him:

Even though Eickhoff just picked up his first win of the year, it was the way in which he did it that was most impressive.

With his fastball velocity significantly declining, the Phillies sent him to get healthy after a back injury was noticed. He threw a sparkling five-inning outing in the minors, and he looked great in his return to the bigs.

In that first start off the disabled list, Eickhoff dominated the San Diego Padres over five innings. The Padres aren't the toughest of offenses to corral. He did, however, strike out 8, and he generated a season-high 19.7% swinging-strike rate. That's an impressive mark against any club.

Eickhoff faces the Miami Marlins tonight. The Marlins whiff a pretty healthy 20.5% of the time. At a cheap price point, Eickhoff makes for an interesting play as a likely low-owned arm who could have a solid night.
