Any time we have Coors Field on the menu, it's a good idea to see if we can find any good values at pitcher to afford more of that delicious Coors pie.

The Kansas City Royals aren't the most imposing offense, and only have a 3.76 implied team total, so Kenta Maeda fits the bill. But with a slew of aces going tonight, he's a poor bet to keep up with what will undoubtedly be a high-scoring pitching night.

Following an impressive 2016 debut, Maeda has underwhelmed this season, with lesser marks in both SIERA (3.96) and strikeout rate (23.7%), while rarely going deep into games. He managed to go 7 innings in his final June start, but it required only 92 pitches, and he hasn't hit 100 since early May. It doesn't help matters that he's shuffled between the rotation and bullpen this season.

Jordan Montgomery makes for a more intriguing value play in tournaments.
