Dinelson Lamet, SP, San Diego Padres

FanDuel Price: $8,400

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

With a seven-game main slate on tap, there's a huge depth of quality pitching options available, including Chris Sale, Jose Berrios, Robbie Ray, and Lance McCullers. Each of those guys are sure to see a good amount of ownership.

Stuck right in the middle of the pitching options is Dinelson Lamet, and while he may go ignored compared to some of these bigger options, he deserves a long look.

Why You Should Use Him:

Despite a 5.35 ERA that may scare many folks off, a deeper dive reveals a lot of fantasy goodness.

Lamet has posted a brilliant 3.22 SIERA over 37.0 innings pitched, and it's back-to-back blowups against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Kansas City Royals that are inflating that ERA. Take those out, and Lamet's posted a pretty filthy 2.48 ERA.

What's even nastier about Lamet is his strikeout rate, which sits at 32.1%, and it's fully validated by his 13.9% swinging-strike rate.

Couple all of that fantasy goodness with a Cleveland Indians squad that's sporting a healthy 5.18 implied team total, and you've got a GPP contrarian play with high-upside potential, although the Indians -- as that implied total suggests -- are a tough matchup.
