5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 6/23/17
Mallex Smith has plenty of upside from the plate and on the bases tonight against Orioles' righty Ubaldo Jimenez. Who else should you target for big-time daily fantasy baseball value on Friday?

Jed Lowrie, 2B, Oakland Athletics

FanDuel Price: $2,600

Jed Lowrie has produced a .350 wOBA over the past 15 days and has also been making some great contact -- he ranks 10th in average batted-ball distance among hitters with at least 10 batted balls in that time.

He has been mashing right-handed pitchers all season to the tune of a .375 wOBA, 36.0% hard-hit rate, 13.7% soft-hit rate and 48.3% fly-ball rate.

Chicago White Sox righty Mike Pelfrey has struggled to a 5.18 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), putting him on pace for his second straight season with a mark worse than 5.00. He has a 5.53 xFIP while allowing a 37.9% hard-hit rate to left-handed bats, making this a terrific spot for Lowrie.
