4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 6/21/17

Yadier Molina is on a rare power binge, but don't expect it to continue. Who else should you avoid in DFS tonight?

Compared to yesterday, we have more pitching options on tonight's FanDuel main slate, but there isn't any one hurler that stands out.

On the bright side, no one is priced in the five-figures, with Carlos Carrasco ($9,800), Jose Berrios ($9,700), Jeff Samardzija ($8,800) and even Jordan Montgomery ($8,200) all being viable possibilities. Despite an unsightly 4.81 ERA, Samardzija has the best SIERA (3.20) and strikeout rate (27.5%) of the group, and when coupled with his cheaper salary, arguably gives him a slight edge over the others.

Earlier this season, James Paxton ($8,700) would have been a top option in spite of his tough matchup with the Detroit Tigers, but he's struggled mightily in three June starts, with a 5.73 SIERA, 16.7% strikeout rate, and 13.6% walk rate. Paxton still has one of the better implied team totals on the slate (3.92), but his recent play only makes him usable in tournaments.

Don't forget about Sean Manaea ($8,300) in GPPs as well, who may have the unenviable task of facing the Houston Astros, but has a top notch 15.0% swinging-strike rate.

With ideal hitting conditions across the country, we once again have our pick of the litter when it comes to bats. The New York Yankees disappointed last night, but get another golden opportunity to put up runs, this time against Ricky Nolasco, who is tied with Masahiro Tanaka with the second-most homers given up this year (21). Don't be afraid to attack Tyson Ross with Toronto Blue Jays hitters, either -- Ross skated by in his first start, but didn't show enough to erase the concerns from the 7.71 ERA during his Triple-A rehab stint. And as always, never forgot to check in on Coors Field.

But who should you fade tonight? I'm glad you asked. Here are four guys to avoid in tonight's contests.
