Tim Adleman, SP, Cincinnati Reds

FanDuel Price: $6,800

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

A few expensive studs will dominate the slate, none more expensive than Max Scherzer of the Washington Nationals, who's priced up to $12,400, and with good reason. Luis Severino and Carlos Martinez are also sure to be popular plays this evening.

Facing a Los Angeles Dodgers team with a hefty implied team total of 5.28 runs, and pitching tonight at Great American Ball Park which ranks fourth in home run factor over the last three seasons, Tim Adleman probably won't be a popular play.

Why You Should Use Him:

Despite some difficult challenges in the matchup, there's a few reasons to be bullish on Adelman.

Even with a mediocre 4.51 SIERA, Adleman's posted a strong 21.0% strikeout rate to go along with a 28.3% hard-hit rate.

Adleman becomes even more intriguing when you factor in that he's facing a struggling Los Angeles Dodgers offense. Over the last 30 days, the Dodgers rank 24th in team wOBA (.314) while striking out at a heavy clip of 25.9%.

Adleman's been bopping in the hitter-friendly home confines, posting a FIP that's over a full run better there than on the road (4.54 versus 5.62, respectively).

All of these factors lead to a sneaky, price-saving option that could post a big score.
