Alex Meyer, SP, Los Angeles Angels

FanDuel Price: $7,500

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

A very small slate makes us assume pitching would be pretty thin, right? Wrong. Stephen Strasburg, Jacob deGrom, and Yu Darvish are all scheduled to throw, with Rick Porcello also on the bump in case you are looking for a little salary relief.

Facing one of the hottest offenses in all of baseball -- and led by mega-stud Aaron Judge -- Alex Meyer will have to do some strong work to hold down a prolific lineup.

Why You Should Use Him:

On paper, facing anyone as hot as the New York Yankees seems like a bad choice, but hear me out.

While Meyer's mediocre SIERA (4.71 over 35 1/3 innings pitched) doesn't jump out as a great option, some of his more advanced metrics do.

He's whiffed a pretty robust 26.1% of hitters over those innings, and with a 22.2% rate as a team, the Yankees aren't exactly strangers to getting punched out.

Part of Meyer's success has been strengthened by his ability to limit hard contact. A look at his batted-ball profile reveals it's only at 30.3%, fueled by a ground-ball rate of 47.7%.

If right-hander can keep the ball on the ground, his strikeout rate is healthy enough to provide some sneaky upside.
