Daily Fantasy Baseball: Batted-Ball Positive Regression Candidates for Week 11
Alex Avila has squared up right-handed pitchers lately, but isn't seeing great results. Who else is due for some positive regression?

Alex Avila, C, Detroit Tigers

Alex Avila has been a nice surprise this season and someone who DFS players have targeted, but based on his batted-ball profile, his numbers could be better. Avila has crushed right-handed pitching all season, with a ridiculous 65.7% hard-hit rate, a .478 wOBA, and a .361 ISO.

Over the last 14 days, Avila has a 66.7% hard-hit rate, but only a .267 BABIP. In that same span, his average exit velocity vs. righties is 94.5 MPH. Even though he has hit a couple home runs, his numbers are underwhelming, considering how well he's hitting the ball. With a little bit of luck and a matchup with five different starting pitchers this week, Avila should be on your DFS radar every day.
