There aren't a ton of top-end pitching options on Thursday's main slate, and Lance McCullers is easily the best of the bunch.

The Houston Astros are the day's biggest favorites (-185 money line) in a terrific matchup against a Kansas City Royals team that has really struggled against right-handed pitching this season, posting a .299 wOBA and 82 wRC+.

McCullers' strikeout stuff has, been really solid for the third straight season, evidenced by a 28.2% strikeout rate and 12.2% swinging-strike rate. He has also cut his walk rate significantly (7.3%), and is posting the highest ground-ball rate (61.7%) and soft-hit rate (22.8%) of his career with a strong 2.97 SIERA.
