4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 6/5/17
J.A. Happ has some nice peripherals, but they can't be trusted in a small sample size. Who else should you avoid in MLB DFS?

Whit Merrifield, 2B, Kansas City Royals

FanDuel Price: $3,700

No doubt, Whit Merrifield is swinging a hot bat right now, in the midst of an impressive 19-game hit streak. In the last 14 days he has a 39.5% hard-hit rate and .526 wOBA.

That said, his price has taken a massive leap, and he's now the most expensive Kansas City Royals bat. Considering he's still hitting in the bottom-half of the order, oftentimes as low as eighth, it's a tough price to stomach, no matter how long that hit streak is.

Additionally, during the streak he's had a fortuitous and unsustainable .407 BABIP. He's never shown much power in his career, so his .227 isolated power (ISO) in that span probably won't hold up either. Don't pay the premium to fit Merrifield in your lineup.
