Kenta Maeda, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers

FanDuel Price: $9,000

Look, on a five-game slate with the opposing St. Louis Cardinals getting just a 3.43 implied team total, I'm not going to flat out tell you to not play Kenta Maeda. But at his price, it's an awfully risky move.

Much like Rich Hill yesterday, who put up a dud, the trouble with Maeda is he rarely goes deep into games. Maeda has two games over five innings on his 2017 resume, good for FanDuel scores of 44 and 49. So yes, he does have a couple ceiling games under his belt to go with his 24.5% strikeout rate and 15.2% swinging-strike rate.

But Maeda is returning from a stint on the disabled list, so it's hard to foresee a terribly high pitch count awaiting him. Furthermore, the Cardinals are a decidedly neutral matchup, with a 101 wRC+ against righties.

Due to limited options, Maeda's strikeout upside gives him some GPP appeal, but overall he's a tough sell.
