4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 5/23/17
Enjoying a rebirth in 2017, Brandon Phillips has a great matchup at a cheap price point. Who else makes for a quality sleeper play?

German Marquez, SP, Colorado Rockies

FanDuel Price: $8,500

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Holy cow, are there are some power arms on the main slate this evening!

Clayton Kershaw, Lance McCullers, Rick Porcello, Carlos Carrasco, Jon Lester and Johnny Cueto are all scheduled to start, and each will likely see a fair amount of ownership. With all those great arms available, Marquez and his 4.37 SIERA are more than likely to be overlooked.

Why You Should Use Him:

Very quietly, Marquez is starting to turn some heads, posting a 19.4% strikeout rate over his first five starts. In three of his last four starts, he's been almost untouchable, racking up 19 innings pitched and allowing only one earned run,.

Marquez gets the benefit of facing a Philadelphia Phillies offense that has stumbled as of late. As a team, their .314 wOBA has tumbled them all the way down to 21st in the league, while they're still whiffing at a healthy rate of 22.0%.

All of which is why you should keep an eye out for Marquez as a high-upside play.
