Johnny Cueto, SP, San Francisco Giants

FanDuel Price: $9,700

At first it was tempting to put the immortal Clayton Kershaw in this spot, as blasphemous as that sounds. Across 18 starts and 109 innings in Coors Field, he has a very un-Kershaw-like 4.71 ERA. Coors Field makes no exceptions!

But the truth is, this might be the only time all year we can get Kershaw for under $10,000, and he still possesses immense upside, regardless of the venue. I'm not sure I can go there in cash, but he's at the very least a viable tournament play.

Instead, the dishonorable mention goes to Johnny Cueto, who gets the Cincinnati Reds at home tonight.

Cueto is having a fairly average season so far, with a 3.92 SIERA, 21.3% strikeout rate, and 6.4% walk rate. He has a slightly concerning hard-hit rate (35.6%), but on the positive side, he has an 11.4% swinging-strike rate, so the punchouts could rise.

The Reds, with a 105 wRC+ and 20.5% strikeout rate against righties, don't provide any advantages for Cueto.

Between Cueto's numbers and the opponent, the whole thing screams "meh" -- not exactly how you want to feel about the second-most expensive pitcher.

He does have a 3.44 implied team total going for him, due in no small part to run-suppressing AT&T Park, so chances are low that Cueto throws a complete dud. And it's worth noting he did put up a 49-point FanDuel night against these same Reds on the road his last time out.

But overall, Lance McCullers, Rick Porcello, and Kershaw are all far more likely to hit that ceiling game than Cueto.
