If you're looking to pay up at pitcher on Thursday's four-game main slate, you'll likely be looking at Chris Sale. The top pitching option of the day, though, is Noah Syndergaard on the early and all-day slates (which lock at 1:05 pm EST).
The New York Mets are Thursday's biggest favorites (-217 moneyline), and the Atlanta Braves' 2.88 implied total is the lowest of the day. The Braves have struggled against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 85 and a middle-of-the-pack strikeout rate of 21.7%.
Syndergaard finished last season with a 29.3% strikeout rate and has a 29.1% mark to start 2017, with a swinging-strike rate north of 14.0% both years. Even against the Braves' average strikeout rate, he's a threat to rack up a ton of strikeouts, while his 1.97 SIERA and Atlanta's struggles with righties also give him a safe floor.
