5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/13/17
The Royals have the highest implied total on today's main slate, and Mike Moustakas offers no shortage of upside. Who else can give you big-time daily fantasy baseball value on Thursday?

Welington Castillo, C, Baltimore Orioles

FanDuel Price: $2,800

Welington Castillo's platoon splits make him a tough guy to ignore when he has even a decent matchup and his price tag is this low.

His .319 wOBA and .159 isolated slugging (ISO) weren't anything to write home about last year, but his numbers took a huge jump against southpaws to the tune of a .367 wOBA, .243 ISO and an absurd 53.5% hard-hit rate. That kind of success against lefties also isn't some kind of one-year anomaly -- he owns a .363 wOBA and .196 ISO off the strength of a 39.7% hard-hit rate against them over his career.

He draws a matchup with a lefty today in Francisco Liriano, who is coming off an awful season debut. The smart money is on Liriano improving his 135.00 ERA as we move forward this season, but he posted a shaky 4.38 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) and allowed a 34.9% hard-hit rate to right-handed hitters last year. All that makes this a very solid spot for Castillo.
