Matt Adams, 1B, St. Louis Cardinals

Fly-Ball Rate: 48.4% (6th)

Park Factor: 105 (21st out of 60)

Matt Adams burst onto the scene late in 2013 by smashing 17 homers in only 319 plate appearances, good for a home run every 18.8 plate appearances.

Heading into 2014, the hype was there, but in 563 plate appearances, Adams took a step backwards with only 15 home runs (one every 37.5 plate appearances).

He didn't do much in 2015, but he got back to his mashing ways in 2016. Adams launched 16 home runs in limited playing time (326 plate appearances), and he also logged a career best ISO of .222.

One of the reasons Adams is undervalued is he doesn't play much against lefties (just 50 plate appearances versus southpaws in 2016), but his home park, on the surface, doesn't help, either. Per ESPN Park Factors, in 2016, it ranked only 21st for power, but as we can see above, Busch isn't a bad place for lefties, ranking 21st out of 60.

Assuming the St. Louis Cardinals can find consistent at-bats for Adams, the potential for a big power year is there.
