4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 8/30/16
Given all the great options at second base on Tuesday, Scooter Gennett will likely be overlooked in his matchup with Adam Wainwright.

JA Happ, P, Toronto Blue Jays

FanDuel Price: $9,600

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

J.A. Happ will travel to Camden Yards and face the Baltimore Orioles. Vegas thinks quite a few runs will be scored as the teams have an over/under of 9.5, and the Orioles have an implied total of 4.32. Combined with stud arms like Max Scherzer, Cole Hamels and Kyle Hendricks taking the bump, Happ should see low ownership.

Why You Should Use Him:

Happ has found success in 2016 due to an increase in his swinging-strike rate, as he's bumped that up 2% from his 2015 clip. Last season, he ranked 77th in swinging-strike rate out of 84 qualified starters, and this year he checks in 32nd with a superb clip of 10.2%.

He will face an Orioles' lineup that not only likes to swing and miss against left-handed pitching (22.1% strikeout rate), but they also rank 27th in the league in wOBA versus southpaws (.293).

Happ's stellar second half this year -- he owns a 3.31 xFIP this half -- has been driven by an increase in strikeout rate. He's punching out hitters 30.4% of the time after he put up a 19.7% strikeout rate in the first half. If he was able to replicate that second half mark over a full season, he would be tied for the third-highest strikeout rate in baseball.

Given the other aces on the slate and the Orioles implied team total, Happ will likely see low ownership tonight.
