#1 Free Drop Maddy – Churchill Downs R3 (1:43 PM ET)

This 5 furlong sprint has a good group of Maiden fillies, and Free Drop Maddy (5/1) is a debut runner for trainer Bret Calhoun. He’s a son of Free Drop Billy, whose first crop of runners are really nice, and athletic, according to Top Race Reports visual reports. The drills are solid including a solid 4 furlong gate work most recently, and she can break alertly from the rail and be best at a good price in a competitive group. #5 Holiday Decision – Churchill Downs R3 (1:43 PM ET)

In the same race for Maiden fillies, Holiday Decision (4/1) is a first crop first timer by graded stakes winner Good Samaritan, whose lone runner to date won his debut at Indiana. Top Race Reports Maiden report likes the prospects of this sire, and owns one of his yearlings himself. She too should come out running well and is a win contender. #2 Mataro – Churchill Downs R6 (3:18 PM ET)

This is a group of 2-year-old juveniles sprinting 5 furlongs. TVG likes Mataro (3/1), who is trained by John Ellis. He's part of the horses ownership group.
