Keeneland Horse Racing Picks for Sunday 4/10/22

There are 9 races Sunday at Keeneland including a pair of stakes races. Which horses should you bet on at FanDuel Racing?

Starting at 1:00 p.m. EST, we have 9 races at Keeneland. Using numberFire’s projections as a guide, here are some of the best bets on FanDuel Racing.

As always, check the program for racing information and scratches and changes. Also, watch the weather and track conditions with potential rain later in the day.

(I will reference Equibase's Speed Figure in selected races, which tells you how fast a horse has been running in each of its races -- adjusted for track, distances, and conditions).

Bode by You and Four Dawn, Race 2

FanDuel Racing Odds: 15/1 and 5/2

Race 2 is a Claiming race for fillies and mares sprinting 6 furlongs. Nebuli (7/2), is scratched as the numberFire top pick, so look towards Four Dawn (5/2), Gem Kelly (5/1) and longshot Bode By You (15/1) on the rail.

Bode By You broke his Maiden impressively on New Year’s Day at Turfway, and this 12 horse field is suspicious with a number of horses taking big drops in class. Bode By You can pop the gate and get out front to hit the board at a bigger price, as he did in his first two starts at this track when finishing with a pair of runner-ups. .

Four Dawn did run poorly last race, but did finish 1st and 2nd his two previous starts at Fair Grounds.

Radio Days and Lady Scarlet, Race 8

FanDuel Racing Odds: 3/1 and 7/2

Race 8 is the $400,000, Grade 3 Beaumont Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at 7 furlongs. The numberFire projected order of finish is Lady Scarlet (7/2), Radio Days (3/1) and the favorite Matareya (2/1).

Guaranteed Tip Sheet has these three on top as well, and notes that Matareya won her last race in Feb. on the front end by 5 lengths, and now stretches back out having posted 90+ speed figures in 3-of-5 starts.

Lady Scarlet posted the top, last race speed figure (96), and she’s 2-for-2 this year and will be stalking the pace setters. Radio Days made a big mid-race move last race when finishing fourth, but did finish second in a Grade 3 race Feb. at this distance as the heavy favorite at Gulfstream.

Ridley’s Major and Remote, Race 9

FanDuel Racing Odds: 5/2 and 6/1

Race 9 has a full field of 12 runners and is a Maiden Special Weight for 3-year-olds going 1 3/16 miles on the turf. The numberFire algorithym has Ridley’s Major (5/2) on top with two other major challengers scratched.

Ridley’s Major hakes his 2022 debut and this son of Gun Runner finished second with an 85 speed figure going 1 1/16 miles in Dec.

Remote Has the right pedigree and trainer to prepare for this extended long-distance turf race. This son of War Front makes his second career start and is growing and a better effort at this distance expected.
