HORSE RACING

Parx Horse Racing Picks for Tuesday 10/27/20

Parx has 11 races Tuesday. Which horses should you bet on at FanDuel Racing?

It's a great time to dive into horse racing, and FanDuel Racing gives you the chance to do just that.

Starting at 12:55 p.m. EST, we have 11 races at Parx. Using numberFire’s projections as a guide, here are some of the best bets.

As always, check the program for scratches and changes, and monitor the weather and track conditions.

(I will reference Equibase's Speed Figure in selected races, which tells you how fast a horse has been running in each of its races -- adjusted for track, distances, and conditions.)

Excitable Lady, Race 5

FanDuel Racing Odds: 7/2

Race 5 is a Maiden Special Weight for 2-year-old fillies racing 7 furlongs. The coupled entry is Clout Chaser (10/1) and Lulinda’s Heart (10/1).

Guaranteed Tip Sheet has a best bet on Excitable Lady (7/2), who had a terrific debut and strong rally when finishing second three weeks ago against an impressive winner. Excitable Lady finished more than 8 lengths in front of third-place finisher Infatuating (9/2). In fifth place was Barn Queen (5/1), who was well bet in her debut and should progress as a daughter of Preakness winner Shackleford and worth inclusion in Exacta and Trifecta betting.

Excitable Lady and Infatuating are projected to finish in-the-money by numberFire, who has B B’s Rocket (4/1) winning. She makes her debut as a daughter of top sire Munnings.

Bryce’s Philly, Race 7

FanDuel Racing Odds: 9/2

Race 7 is a small Claiming race for fillies and mares sprinting 5 ½ furlongs. A field of 12 is entered and the mare on the far outside, Little Neck (12/1), could take advantage of a contested fractions set by Lady Valentina (4/1), who won her last race a month ago at this distance and level. Challenging her up front should be Bryce’s Philly (9/2), who faded when overmatched last race in a route but won six weeks ago with a strong stretch run to beat Lady Valentina.

La Flamenca (3/1) is another runner up front and pace presser who won in early September at Delaware Park with an 80 speed figure and finished third a month ago in her debut at Parx. The top pick according to numberFire’s data is Shanghaisweetheart (5/1). She missed the money in her last three races but was runner-up here in July racing along the lead.

Midnight Games, Race 11

FanDuel Racing Odds: 3/1

Race 11 is a small Claiming race at 7 furlongs. The Horse Racing Radar (HRR) at Guaranteed Tip Sheet projects Midnight Games (3/1) to win and HRR notes that Midnight Games responded nicely to finish second a month ago and was 3-lengths clear of third-place finisher Forest River (4/1), who has faced tougher runners in the past and now tries blinkers.

The algorithm at numberFire also projects Midnight Games to win ahead of Chief Exchanger (7/2), who won twice at Delaware Park but is still eligible here and races for a hot barn and trainer Andrew Simoff.
