Parx Racing Horse Racing Picks for Tuesday 7/7/20

Parx Racing has a 11-race slate on Tuesday afternoon. Which horses should you place a wager on at FanDuel Racing?

With most of the sports world on pause, it's a great time to dive into horse racing, and FanDuel Racing gives you the chance to do just that.

Starting at 12:55 p.m. EST, we have 11 races at Parx Racing. Using our projections as a guide, here are some of the best bets.

As always, keep an eye out for scratches and changes.

(I will be referencing Equibase's speed figure, which tells you how fast a horse has been running in each of its races -- adjusted for track, distances, and conditions.)

Rolls Royce Joyce, Race 7 (3:37 PM)

FD Racing Odds: 9/5

Rolls Royce Joyce has recorded the best speed figure of this field, putting up a personal-best 64 as a runner-up just two weeks ago. She's cracked the top three in three of five career appearances and will have the same jockey as last time (Anthony Y. Nunez). Rolls Royce Joyce is numberFire's top choice.

Our model also likes Quiet Please (10/1) to finish top-three, and don't rule out Double Doink (3/1), either, who has standout jockey Frankie Pennington guiding her. Both fillies exceeded a 60 speed figure in their most recent contests.

Shemakesmehappy, Race 9 (4:31 PM)

FD Racing Odds: 7/2

numberFire's algorithm picks Shemakesmehappy to win Race 9. While she hasn't posted her highest speed figures lately, she's finished top-three in five her last six, including two wins. She also posted a career-high 100 figure this past August, something none of her competitors have ever achieved. She's in good hands with jockey Angel R. Rodriguez, who's winning 19% of the time and finishing top-three at a 47% rate.

Keep on eye on Sweet Maggie Mae (6/1), who could be a good value at these odds with the aforementioned Pennington riding. Favorite Mill and Gloria (5/2) is coming off an 82 speed figure in March that rates well in this field.

Dancing Bull, Race 10 (4:53 PM)

FD Racing Odds: 9/2

It's not ideal when a horse is coming off a long layoff, but numberFire's model still sides with Dancing Bull in Race 10. The gelding hasn't raced since late 2019, but he's coming off back-to-back wins with figures of 100 and 95. Jockey Mychel J. Sanchez also puts us at ease, as he's the top earner at Parx Racing this year and was second in 2019. With Dancing Bull faring well in June workouts, we should be confident in backing him.

Long May You Run (5/2) is a top-three pick from our model and put up a 101 speed figure in February. Pennington should once again be in the mix with Appealing Future (4/1).
