Lone Star Park Horse Racing Picks for Monday 6/15/20

With most of the sports world on pause, it's a great time to dive into horse racing, and FanDuel Racing gives you the chance to do just that.

Starting at 2:35 p.m. EST, we have nine races at Lone Star Park. Using our projections as a guide, here are some of the best bets.

As always, keep an eye out for scratches and changes.

Take Charge Woman, Race 3 (3:39 PM)

FD Racing Odds: 3/1

Our model likes Take Charge Woman in Race 3, who is coming off a last place finish in May but posted back-to-back runner-ups in March and February.

She posted Speed Figures of 58 and 55 in those second-place finishes, per Equibase, which puts her on par with favorite Lady Ave's (5/2 odds) most recent result (57 Speed Figure) and well above Catch The Devil's (7/2) three career marks (high of 49).

Veteran jockey Lindey Wade will be Take Charge Woman's rider today, and he's performing well, as usual, cracking the top three at a 39% rate in 2020.

If you're looking for a longshot, both numberFire and Timeform like Magical Ice (20/1). She's projected to finish third in our model.

Don'task Don'ttell, Race 8 (6:15 PM)

FD Racing Odds: 9/5

Don'task Don'ttell is coming off two straight victories, posting Speed Figures of 97 and 98. Although he failed to get a win in 2019, he was top-three in 6 of 10 races while achieved a career-best 107 Speed Figure.

On the other hand, Im a Cowboy Too (5/2) has never posted a Speed Figure above 91. Matrooh (5/2), Adonis Creed (4/1), and Morse Code (5/1) have achieved triple-digit Speed Figures before but have all been below that level in recent outings.

numberFire and Timeform both pick Don'task Don'ttell to win Race 8.

New Colossus, Race 9 (6:45 PM)

FD Racing Odds: 3/1

Race 9 favorite New Colossus has rattled off five straight top-three results in 2020 (3-1-3-1-2) and will be a tough out tonight. He hasn't dropped below an 89 Speed Figure over that span and topped out at 103 in an April win. Our model likes him to add another victory to the resume.

Monte Man (9/2) might have the best shot of besting New Colossus and is numberFire's choice to finish runner-up. He recorded a 101 Speed Figure in his last race (March).
