Gulfstream Park Horse Racing Picks for Friday 6/12/20

With most of the sports world on pause, it's a great time to dive into horse racing, and FanDuel Racing gives you the chance to do just that.

Starting at 12:00 p.m. EST, we have nine races at Gulfstream Park. Using our projections as a guide, here are some of the best bets.

As always, keep an eye out for scratches and changes.

Sir Hoski, Race 4

FD Racing Odds: 15/1

Our projections peg Sir Hoski (15/1) as a long shot winner in Race 4. The gelding has solid recent form, posting 4-6-2-3-3 over his last five and has come in the top three in half of his four 2020 events. He'll be ridden by Luca Panici, who has a 27% top-three rate at Gulfstream since the start of April, per Equibase, and his speed and pace ratings check out pretty well on DailyHorsePicks.com. Even if you can't stomach picking Sir Hoski to win, he's a solid top-three bet at these odds.

Bird's Eye View, Race 8

FD Racing Odds: 20/1

Our model likes another long shot later on in the day, picking Bird's Eye View (20/1) to take Race 8. Other than a 12th-place finish last time out, the gelding's recent form is pretty good as he went 5-2-3-3 before the dud. He's been in the top three in nearly half (14) of his 29 career races, and he'll have Joe Bravo at the controls. In 83 races at Gulfstream since the start of April, Bravo has come in the top three 42% of the time with an 11% win rate. Like Sir Hoski above, a safer play is betting on Bird's Eye View to place or show, but our projections do have him winning.

Fuddled and She's Just Quality, Race 10

FD Racing Odds: 2/1 and 6/1

We'll get away from the long shots for the finale of the day as our model has Fuddled (2/1), the favorite, winning Race 10, which is a Maiden Special Weight. Fuddled was barely beaten in her debut, losing by 1/4 of a length and taking second at Gulfstream back on March 27th. She's in the top two in this field in both pace and speed rating, per DHP. Fuddled also has an advantage at jockey as Emisael Jaramillo -- owner of a 38% top-three rate and 14% win rate here since early April -- will be in charge.

It's also worth noting She's Just Quality (6/1), who looks like good value. DHP has her tied atop this field in speed rating and tied with Fuddled in pace rating. The filly got second in her debut and will be guided by the aforementioned Panici.
