Remington Park Horse Racing Picks for Sunday 5/10/20

With most of the sports world on pause, it's a great time to dive into horse racing, and FanDuel Racing gives you the chance to do just that.

Starting at 7 p.m. EST tonight, we have 11 races at Remington Park. Using our projections as a guide, here are some of the best bets.

Mighty Pants, Race 2

FD Racing Odds: 8/1

Mighty Pants (8/1) has some appeal in the day's second race, and our models have him winning.

The gelding won his last time out, though today's 870-yard race will be a step up in distance for him as he hasn't run farther than 660 yards at Remington, according to Timeform. The win in his last race was the first time he was ridden by Daniel Antonio Torres, who will be at the controls today.

Per DailyHorsePicks.com, Mighty Pants has a 15% chance to win and a 44% chance of coming in the top three. Those are slightly better clips than those of the favorite, Cold Brewster (5/2), who has a 14% chance to win and 41% odds of finishing in the top three.

First Moon Game, Race 4

FD Racing Odds: 2/1

First Moon Game (2/1) looks like the clear favorite in Race 4.

Going by DailyHorsePicks' speed ratings, the gelding is well ahead of the field with a rating of 1.00, with no one else above 0.67. And our models have First Moon Game winning this one, which is a 550-yard race.

First Moon Game has gone 550 yards in each of his last two events at Remington, finishing third and eighth, with the third-place finish being one in which he was only 0.55 lengths behind the winner.

In all, DailyHorsePicks gives him a 16% chance to win and a 46% chance of coming in the top three.

Expedite and Jess My Hocks, Race 10

FD Racing Odds: 2/1 and 5/2

In Remington's penultimate race of the night, Expedite and Jess My Hocks check several boxes as the two favorites.

Both horses have a good recent history. Expedite has three wins and two thirds across his last five races, though none have come at Remington and none of his wins were 400-yard races, the length of this event.

Jess My Hocks smokes the field in speed rating, and our projections have the gelding winning. He won at Remington in a 400-yard event two races ago, and he's got two wins and two thirds over his last five races.

HorseRacingPicks gives Expedite an 18% chance to win 51% odds of being third or better. Jess My Hocks has a 17% chance to win and 50% chance of being in the top three. No other horse in the field has better than 12% odds of winning.
