Daily Fantasy Golf Course Primer: Dell Technologies Championship
The FedEx Cup Playoffs head to TPC Boston this week for the Dell Technologies Championship.
The Deutsche Bank Championship has been held here for the past 14 years, so there’s plenty to look at in terms of course history, unlike what he had to deal with last week.
Let’s dig right into this course and how it’ll impact this week’s thin -- but strong -- field.
Course and Tournament Overview
It’s a 100-player field, but there is a cut after 36 holes. The top 70 and ties make it through. It’s needless to say, but it’s critical that your guys aren’t the few who get lopped off.
In all, TPC Boston has been one of the easier courses on the tour in recent years, though we do have to keep in mind that it’s host of a playoff event, so we aren’t getting slouches racking up bogeys.

Course History Studs
Louis Oosthuizen was 2nd at TPC Boston in 2012, 12th in 2015, and 8th in 2016. Russell Knox finished 15th last year, 12th the year before, and 26th in 2014 in his three tries at TPC Boston.
Sergio Garcia has two top-fives here (2008 and 2013) and finished 24th in 2016, his first time since 2013 at TPC Boston.
Jason Day was 2nd in 2010 and 3rd in 2011, 51st in 2012, and top-15 the past four years.
Rory McIlroy won in 2012 and last year and was 47th, 5th, and 29th in between.
Keegan Bradley was top 25 from 2012 to 2015 but maxed out at 13th. Adam Scott has finished top 10 in four of his past six tries (5th in 2010, 8th in 2011, 7th in 2012, and 4th in 2016).
